Just a Touch

“When they had crossed over they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore. When they got out of the boat, immediately the people recognized Him, and ran about that whole country and began to carry here and there on their pallets those who were sick, to the place they heard He was. Wherever He entered villages, or cities, or countryside, they were laying the sick in the market places, and imploring Him that they might just touch the fringe of His cloak; and as many as touched it were being cured.” (Mark 6:53-56 NASB)

This reminds me of the lady with the issue of blood. She said to herself, “If I can just touch the hem of his garment I will be healed.”  There was nothing magical about his garment. It was the fact that she and the others recorded here in Mark believed that by touching his garment healing would come. It was their point of contact. It was the means by which they chose to release their faith and receive their Miracle.

What is it you need today? Do you need healing, either physical or emotional? Do you need deliverance? Maybe you just need a touch from God to know that He cares.

Whatever you need today reach out figuratively and touch him and as you do release your faith knowing that just as in Mark 6, as many as touched him were healed.
